     2. Review and Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes.

Minutes note: Motion was made by Mr. Flores, seconded by Ms. McSweeney to approve minutes of the prior meeting. There were no objections.

     3. Public Art Subcommittee Report.

Minutes note: The subcommittee was cancelled for March 12. Ms. Morris encouraged the new members to consider joining the public arts subcommittee.

     4. Sustaining Gran Update.

Minutes note: Mr. Olson reported that, the applications deadline was March 11 at 4:59 PM, for the initial submission. For this year, the department have a week buffer to work with the applicants to correct any errors in their application and to review any additional documents that would need to be submitted. There were 65 applications received. Department is waiting for Ald. Coggs' approval of the proposed application review panel; included are MAB members: Phoenix Brown, April Heding, Joe Cri, Ankika Kowalik, Gnat Bowden, Antonio Vargas-Nieto, listed as artists, Sally Witty, former administrator to MAB, and Kellen Abston (musician). Ms. Klose and Ms. Svetic are working on an on-going project to compile an arts board brochure. Mr. Olson mentioned that there is an account set up in the event the board would prefer to ask for donations. Ms. Heding asked what is the intention of the brochure, is it informational or to fund raise. The intention is to have readily available details about MAB, feature the PAIR artist, and if possible, fund raising, said Ms. Klose. However, fund raising would not be the main purpose, said Ms. Morris.

Minutes note: The award nominations will be scheduled at the April meeting, said Ms. Morris. Mr. Olson said that about five nominations have been submitted. The form is on the MAB website for the public to access and encouraged members to disseminate the word and or if anyone wanted to self nominate; nominations are due by the end of the day on Wednesday, April third. The nominees will be brought to the April MAB meeting for consideration. Mr. Morris asked how Is this information getting out to the public; Mr. Olson responded that he would have to check back with Ms. Svetic. Ms. Klose said that in the past, the information is shared on the City of Milwaukee's social media, and the Arts Board Social Media Accounts. She has also shares it on her personal LinkedIn and encouraged all members to do the same.
